We had a fantastic stay at this resort. The beach was amazing, with soft sand and warm, shallow water. The pool was also wonderful. Our rental cabin had everything we needed, including two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living/dining room. The planned activities were available, although we didn't participate. The resort itself had beautiful views of the water, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
Everything was fantastic.

Hidden Gem
I almost didn't go here because of one scathing review, but I'm so glad I did! The park is right on a private beach with plenty of activities for the kids. The staff really goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Even though it rained both times I visited, I still had an awesome time. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

The late check-in was accommodated by an employee. The resort was peaceful and friendly. Nearby town, Matthews, VA, offered a warm and welcoming experience. Enjoyed the beach with soft sand and warm, shallow water. Pool and rental cabin were satisfactory.

Great beachfront location, stunning views of the bay, and friendly staff make it a decent pick for a romantic escape.
The facilities are poorly maintained and not clean. The loud noise coming from the nearby campsite ruins the romantic atmosphere.

Our group of friends had the most amazing time at an RV resort located in a rural setting by the Chesapeake Bay. We enjoyed a warm, shallow white sand beach where we played games, paddle boarded, and watched boats. the kids enjoyed organized craft events, playgrounds and the many other activities at the resort. the rooms were sparkling clean, the service impeccable and we had access to outdoor grills, which made meal times a lot of fun.
The location is a bit noisy on the weekends.

I had an amazing time at a campground near Matthews, VA! The amenities were fantastic, including a nice beach and great kids' activities. The renovated bath houses were a plus, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It was a quiet and friendly resort, and the golf carts were a great way to get around. The camp store had a nice selection, and there were groceries and restaurants within a short drive. I definitely plan to return!
I really can't think of anything negative to say about this campground! It's true that it can get busy around holidays, but that's to be expected at most campgrounds. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great vacation spot.

We had an amazing time during our stay at this hidden gem! The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Dee and Brian. We loved the location, right by the beach and with beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay. The kids enjoyed the crafts activities, and we were pleasantly surprised by the complementary Wi-Fi and the delicious coffee offered at the on-site cafe.
Although overall we had a great experience at this campground, we would have liked to have more security measures, especially during the off-season. Additionally, some of the facilities, like the boat ramp and the floating dock, could use some upgrades to ensure safety.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
